Dale Dwayne Otto, 77 of Eden Valley, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the St. Cloud VA Health Care Facility. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins with Pastor Bob Kandells officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Ertl Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the MN State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date.
Dale Dwayne Otto was born on July 8, 1940 in Paynesville to Harvey and Alma (Narragon) Otto. He grew up and received his education in Paynesville area. Dale served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 and continued his service in the reserves until 1969. Dale resided in Eden Valley and had been employed as a tire mechanic for Cenex in Paynesville. He also had been employed at several turkey farms in the area. Dale was a member of the Eden Valley Legion Post #381. He enjoyed reading and playing cards.
Dale is survived by his sister, Donna (Roger) Lang of Eden Valley; nieces and nephews, Beverly (Terry) Mattson of Bemidji, Allan (Deb) Lang of Eden Valley, Linda Liter (special friend, Chuck) of St. Martin, Kevin Lang of Richmond, Keila Lang of Shakopee, Melody (Troy) Wolter of Shakopee; several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his life partner, Ella Mae Stenger on February 27, 2018.
