Olga was born on January 6, 1922 at St. Augusta, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Clemens and Mary (Gohman) Potthoff. She married Alphonse Schneider on October 30, 1941 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Augusta.
Olga and Al farmed near Watkins for almost 60 years. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and belonged to organizations including the CCW and was a charter member of the Watkins Lioness. Her hobbies included, rides in the country, bowling, gardening and she loved receiving flowers. She loved visiting with her family and grandkids especially on Sunday mornings after church when the endless pots of coffee and home baked cookies were served.
She is fondly remembered for her witty sense of humor, her ability to always win at cards, (hence the nickname “The Card Shark”), and her overall love for others. She loved singing and playing her harmonica for the grandkids. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Olga is survived by her children, Dennis (Karen) Schneider of Watkins, William (Kaye) Schneider of Rochester, Audrey (Dave) Oster of Watkins, Michael (Vicky) Schneider of Paynesville, Donald (Vickie) Schneider of Watkins, Thomas Schneider of Watkins, James (Karen) Schneider of Watkins, Susan Schneider of Watkins, Luanne Loken of Watkins, MaryLee (Brad) Benson of Eden Prairie, Jean Schneider of Plymouth, Douglas (Audrey) Schneider of St. Michael; 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
