Kenneth ""Butch"" Geislinger, 69 of Watkins, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Paynesville Area Hospital following an eight month battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with interment in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Richard Gross and Fr. Jerome Naduvathaniyil will officiate. Music wil be by Kathy Pauls. Arrangements were with the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Kenneth ""Butch"" Geislinger was born on November 24, 1944 in Watkins. He was the son of Frank and Esther (Looman) Geislinger. At the age of 22, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa for two years. After returning to the States, he made his home in Golden Valley, where he worked as a Supply Distribution Manager at Honeywell for 35 years. He retired in 2001 and returned to the family farm near Watkins, where he and his brother, Ron, farmed until his death. Butch Loved farming and he was a good mechanic. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kenneth ""Butch"" Geislinger is survived by his brother and sisters and their spouses, Joan and Will Nistler of Maple Grove, Mary and Roger Mies of Hutchinson, Ronald and Glo Geislinger of Watkins; sister-in-law, Ruth Geislinger of Watkins; nieces and nephews; and of course his dog, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Frank and Esther Geislinger, Brother, Gerald Geislinger and Sister, Carol in infancy. Butch will be sadly missed and forever alive in our hearts.
