Ann Holmgren

Ann Katherine Holmgren, 87, of Eden Valley, MN, passed away on May 9, 2026, with her family by her side.

Ann Katherine Holmgren, the daughter of Leslie and Signe (Knutson) Shoutz, was born on August 31, 1938, in Forest City, MN. She was united in marriage to Edward Holmgren Sr. on October 20, 1956, in Litchfield, MN. Throughout her life, she lived in Forest City and Grove City and worked at Fingerhut and worked on the hobby farm. She enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, snowmobiling, playing cards, and bingo, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ann is survived by her children, Susan Holthaus of Eden Valley, MN, Edward Holmgren Jr of Litchfield, MN, daughter-in-law Julie Holmgren of Litchfield, MN; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Chere Knutson of Carrabelle, FL; many nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Holmgren Sr; 2 sons, Don and David Holmgren; Daughter Sheila Kay Holmgren; son-in-law Michael Holthaus; grandson Jodi Holmgren; parents Leslie and Signe Shoutz; brothers Milton, Wayne and Lloyd Shoutz; sisters Peggy Knapp; Janice Bollin; Carol Malherek.

In loving memory of Ann, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Manannah shelter.  A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10 AM at the Manannah Union Cemetery for the family.
