Billy moved from northern Minnesota to Florida as a child. He grew up in the Dover area, graduating from Durant High School in 1999. He married the love of his life, Chrissy, on December 28, 2005, and together they built a beautiful family, blessed with their children Zachary and Alexis, who were the light of their life.
As a Journeyman for the Iron Workers Union, Billy honed his skills as a welder, dedicating himself to his craft with unwavering diligence. His affiliation with Ironworkers Local 512 was a testament to his commitment and passion for his work. Billy's hands were never idle; he thrived on building and creating, always with a project. His love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for hiking, running with his loyal dog KC, and his culinary adventures in grilling and smoking meat. Billy had a keen interest in computer programming and was always eager to share his knowledge and skills with those around him. Billy cherished watching movies with Zachary and Alexis, as well as watching them play their sports and involving them in his projects. He loved to get together with his family, whenever he could.
Beyond his professional achievements, Billy was known for his boundless generosity and his ability to connect with anyone. His sense of humor, combined with a genuine willingness to assist others, made him a cherished friend to many.
He is survived by his children Zachary and Alexis of Litchfield; Dog KC; parents Holly (Tom) Cole; siblings Paul (Alicia) Cole, Katie Miles, John Cole, Sarah (Andrew) Bliss; nieces Chelsea Cannon and Alyssa Galloway; nephews Mason Miles and Michael Cole, Thomas and Sam Cole, Aiden, Wyatt and Sawyer Bliss; sister-in-law Angie (Beretta) Giarratano; friend Jennifer; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Billy's family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and love shown to Zachary and Alexis during this difficult time. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, please rejoice for Billy as he is with God and his late wife Chrissy. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
