Carol R. Matteson

Carol R. age 65, lifelong resident of Litchfield, passed away on January 8 at Meeker Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Carol graduated from Litchfield High School, Class of 1979. After high school, she went to cosmetology school. She worked a few years at Lords and MI Lady in Litchfield. On June 6, 1980, Carol married Doug Matteson. Together, they raised their sons Dustin and Jeremy.

Carol enjoyed computers, garage sales, thrift shops and collecting salt and pepper sets.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Evelyn (Miller) Anderson, daughter Amanda. Carol is survived by her husband of 45 years, Doug; sons Dustin (Matt Jinks) and Jeremy (Samantha Garding); grandchildren Aaron and Lily.
