Carolyn J. Christensen

Carolyn J. Christensen, age 77 of Litchfield, MN died at her home on Sunday November 16, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield, MN.

Carolyn Jean Christensen, the daughter of Eugene and Hulda (Orness) Hoffman was born on September 18, 1948. She graduated from Litchfield High School and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. On July 26, 1969, she was united in marriage to Thomas Christensen at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Carolyn was a registered nurse and was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was active in the Litchfield School Board, the church council and part of many quilting groups. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her children Tait (Marie) Christensen of Litchfield, MN and Trina (Jeremy) Knisley of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren Emily (Jake) Kalkbrenner, Carli (Jacob) Halldorson, Colby (Joe) Christensen, Kamri (Jacob) Driver, TJ (Eden) Christensen, Benjamin Driver and Lily Christensen; sister-in-law Janice Christensen of Litchfield, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom; grandson Gage; parents Eugene and Hulda; brother John; and many brothers and sisters in laws.
