Charles "Chuck" Michael Rick was born on June 6, 1944, in Litchfield, Minnesota, to Wilford Rick and Verena (Brixius) Rick. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1961 and married the love of his life, Marjorie Hagen, on October 31, 1964.

Chuck began his career in construction as a cement finisher before joining the Meeker County Soil and Water Conservation District as a conservation technician. He was deeply committed to his work and took great pride in helping conserve the area's natural resources. After 39 years of dedicated service, he retired in June 2009.

Raised on a farm, Chuck developed a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure. A faithful Catholic, he served as an altar boy for many years at the Church of St. Gertrude and carried his faith with him throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, deer and pheasant hunting, woodworking, and, above all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. His quiet strength, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margie, of Watkins; his children, Brenda Rick, Christine Wiles (Derek Wiles) and Dan Rick (Sydney Rick); and his four grandchildren, Abigail Erickson, Madison Erickson, Reece Erickson, and Meryl Rick. Brother, Art Rick and Sister Joan Kuechle. Chuck is proceeded in death by his parents Wilfred and Verna Rick; father-in-law Robert Hagen; mother-in-law Lela Hagen; and sister-in-law Genevieve (Reierson) Rick.
