Chris Griggs passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 39.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 1st, from 2:00-8:00 PM at the Atwater Community Center in Atwater, MN. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Chris’s life.
Chris was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend whose life centered around the people he loved most—his children. He is survived by the mother of his children, Paige Griggs, and their four beloved children: McKenna (13), Easton (11), Amelia (8), and Kinley (4). His kids were his bright light, and he rarely missed a moment cheering them on at wrestling matches, hockey games, softball fields, and baseball diamonds. His presence on the sidelines and in the stands was constant, proud, and full of love.
When Chris wasn’t supporting his children’s activities, he found peace in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, embracing every opportunity to be outside and share those passions with others.
Chris is also survived by his loving parents, Kim and Dave Griggs; his brother, Patrick; and his sister, Katie (Cory), along with their children Emily, Alex, Isaac, and Owen.
He will be deeply missed by his extended family, including his parents-in-law Chad and Adriana Klug; siblings-in-law Ashley (Nick), with children Jonny, Jasper, Azalea, and Alaya; Justin (Ashley), with children Cash, Gage, and Nova; and Camryn (Colton), along with their beloved fur baby, Nellie “Bean.”
Chris also leaves behind his cherished fur companions, Reyna, Lilly, and Luna, who were part of his everyday life and brought him comfort and joy.
Chris will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication as a father, and his appreciation for life’s simple, meaningful moments.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
