Daniel R. Gillen

Daniel R. Gillen age 45, of Litchfield died on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, Minnesota. Friends and family may gather from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Litchfield Christian Church, Litchfield, Minnesota. A Celebration of Life Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM. Daniel Robert Gillen, the son of Daniel and Jeanne (Felix) Gillen, was born on December 11, 1973 in Brockton, MA. He attended school in Bridgewater, MA graduating in 1992 and Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, graduating in 1998. He was owner and chef of Main Street Café in Litchfield, MN and Melrose Place in Melrose, MN. He also worked as a chef at Speak Easy in Eden Valley, MN, Landy Lodge in Hutchinson, MN, and most recently at Swans Café in Litchfield, MN. Daniel was a member of the Litchfield Jaycees and the Litchfield Christian Church where he was baptized on June 3, 2018. He was married to Lisa Frank on December 18, 2011. He enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots; auto racing and the Indianapolis 500. His boys were his greatest enjoyment. Daniel is survived by his parents, sons Keagan and Brody of Cold Spring, MN, his siblings Liam Gillen of Los Angeles, CA and Erin Nobile of Hampton, VA and his sons mother Lisa Frank of Cold Spring, MN.
