David Bacon

David D. Bacon, age 84, of Litchfield, MN died on Sunday May 3, 2026 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 9, 2026 at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Waconia, MN.

David Donald Bacon, the son of Walter and Lydia (Roepke) Bacon was born on April 29, 1942 in Hutchinson, MN. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and was baptized and confirmed at First Congregational United Church of Christ. David worked for Tonka Toys in Mound and later for Pillsbury Company and General Mills in Chanhassen, MN. He liked classic hot rod cars, western movies and visiting with friends over coffee at Lincoln Apartments. He was quick to smile and laugh, had an easy going personality, and had a quick wit with a good sense of humor.

David is survived by his son Todd Bacon of Saint Bonifacius MN; grandsons Ryan Bacon (Katrina Urban) of Hutchinson, MN and Lucas Bacon of Montrose, MN; and great granddaughter Emry Rose Bacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Lydia; daughter Lisa; granddaughter Emily Rose Bacon; brothers William and Robert Bacon; former spouse Phyllis (Schmidt) Bacon and special friend Fran Johnson.
