David 'Mickey' M. Shoultz, age 91, of Litchfield died on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday June 23, 2008 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield. Visitation will from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. David Marion Shoultz, the son of John and Amelia (Lenhardt) Shoultz, was born on February 6, 1917 on the family farm outside of Litchfield, Minnesota. Mickey and Clara were married at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield, MN on June 23, 1940, where they were active for nearly seven decades. After the war he worked a year in San Francisco at a steel plant before beginning his 31 year career at the First District Association in Litchfield. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and the Horseshoe League. Mickey cherished his family, playing on horseshoe leagues in Litchfield, walking around Lake Ripley, following the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Gophers, and his activities at his church. He is survived by his wife Clara of 68 years, children; Sharon (and Jim) Harrison of St. Paul, MN, Guy (and Betty) Shoultz of Buffalo, MN, Barry (and Cory) Shoultz of White Bear Lake, MN, Ron (and Lori) Shoultz of North Branch, MN, Heidi (and Bob) Gilman of Otsego, MN, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sister; Paulyne Henrickson of Willmar, MN and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Harold, William, Henry, John, Marie, Caroline, and Eleanor. Honorary pallbearers include David's grandchildren: Guy Harrison, Gretchen Held (Harrison), Mike Shoultz, Max Shoultz, David Shoultz II, Emily Gibbs (Shoultz), Hunter Shoultz, Claire Shoultz, Jenna Shoultz, Adam Gilman, Nicholas Gilman and Misty Gilman.
