Delores ""Dory"" Margaret Walter

Delores ""Dory"" M. Walter, age 66, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18th at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private interment will be held in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Delores Margaret Walter, the daughter of Michael and Evelyn (Klabunde) Walter, was born on February 27, 1950 in Redwood Falls, MN. She grew up in the Redwood Falls area and attended school there. On August 10, 1968, she was married to Jerome Rosenberg in Clements. They moved to Saint Cloud and Dory worked various jobs. In 1975 she moved to Litchfield and she enjoyed being a home maker and raising her family. Dory was a member of a few different churches and was always active in them. She loved to do all sorts of crafts, reading, puzzles and decorating. She also enjoyed riding bike, walking, picnics and ministering to others. She is survived by her sons, Dean (and Angela) Rosenberg of Saint Cloud, Dale Rosenberg of Litchfield; grandchildren Zach Rosenberg, Leslie Rosenberg, Simon Rosenberg; great grandchildren Gabriel Lopez and Adan Lopez. She is also survived by her sisters Barb (and Cliff) Hammerschmidt of Spicer, Teresa (and Terry) Klante of Eagan , Martha (and Bud) Johnson of Hardwick, MN Betty (and Leonard) Hammerschmidt of Redwood Falls, and brother-in-law, Arlin Schmiesing of Appleton, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kristina Rosenberg, brother Norbert Walter, and sister Agnes Schmiesing.
