Donald Lee Nelson

Donald L. Nelson, age 86 formerly of Litchfield, MN died on Sunday April 27, 2025 at Woodstone Senior Assisted Living in Hutchinson, MN. A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday May 1, 2025 at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation with 1:45 PM prayers. Interment will be held at Our Lady Of Manannah Cemetery.

Donald Lee Nelson, the son of Edward and Esther (Fosberg) Nelson was born on January 24, 1939 in

Onamia, MN. He attended Cove School Elementary and graduated from Onamia High School. He was united in marriage to Susan Brandley in St. Cloud, MN. They moved to Litchfield where he farmed and worked at First District for 30 years. He also worked in construction, helped other farmers and was a gas attendant. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children Steven of Wayzata, MN, Jeffrey (Rebecca) of Hutchinson, MN and Diane of Litchfield, MN; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and siblings Jimmy, Darlene and Harold.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan; and siblings Roy, William, Irene, Florence, Lucille and Myrtle.
