Donna Maxson

Donna J. Maxson, age 78, of Litchfield, MN died on August 1, 2025, at her home in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held from 12 to 3 PM on Saturday August 9, 2025, at Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN. Interment will be held in Ripley Cemetery.

Donna Jean Maxson was born to Harvey and Vivian (Klinker) Jensen on August 28, 1946, and baptized on December 22, 1946, at Opdal Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Merlyn Maxson on September 5, 1964, at his parent's farm in Pine River, MN. They had 3 children: Leonard (Chris) Maxson, Cynthia Greene, and Scott (Kristin) Maxson, all of Litchfield, MN. Donna enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, needle point, tating, drawing, gardening, fishing, horses and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her children Cynthia L. Greene, Leonard D. Maxson and Scott T. Maxson; 7 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren; and sisters Dorothy Gonshorowski and Dianna Maxson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Vivian; step-father Merlyn Carlson; husband Merlyn; and brothers Ralph and Richard.
