Eunice A. Paul

Eunice A. Paul, age 87, of Litchfield, MN died on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Eunice Ardeen Paul, the daughter of Alvin and Alice (Hartz) Magnuson, was born on February 17, 1930 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Rufus Paul on January 18, 1949. Eunice worked at the Litchfield Bakery, J.C. Penny’s and the Butterwick Rexall Drug. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she was active in the sewing circle. Eunice had a green thumb and had many plants in her home. She enjoyed watching her kids high school swimming meets, needlepoint, and collecting dishes, nik-naks, angels, cookbooks and stuffed animals. Eunice is survived by her son Steven (Dianne) Paul of Darwin, MN; three grandchildren Tamara (Matt) Detert of Northfield, MN, Terence Paul of Darwin, MN and Tracie (Louie) Mclain of Hutchinson, MN; three great grandchildren Calvin, Wesley and Elise Detert; brother-in-law James Paul of Silver Lake, MN; sister Sharon Welch of Corvuso, MN; sisters-in-law Mary Vanderwaal of Florida, Betty Theuringer of Hutchinson, MN and Donna Heairet of Plymouth, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Al and Alice Magnuson and Sandy and Lilian Paul and Arnie Midbo; husband Rufus; son James Paul; brother Marlin “Bud” Magnuson; brothers-in-law Earl (Bud) Welch, Ken Paul, Francis Paul, Darrel Heairet and Robert Thueringer; sisters-in-law Doris Paul, Avis Magnuson, Eillen Paul and Anna Paul; nephews and nieces David Paul, Bradley Paul, Desi Heairet and Marie Pierce and Beverly Ziegler.
