Frances Marie Tintes

Frances Marie (Bruemmer) Tintes, age 100, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins, MN on October 27, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:30 AM at church of our Lady in Manannah, MN with a visitation held prior from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Inurnment will follow at Church of Our Lady Cemetery.

Frances was born on July 14, 1923 to Anton Bruemmer and Louise (Statz) Bruemmer in Richmond, MN. She was baptized at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond and confirmed at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, MN. She attended Richmond Catholic and Eden Valley Schools.

On October 17, 1944 she married George Tintes at Assumption Church. Fran was a wonderful mom and spent most of her working years on the farm taking care of her 9 children. Her faith was a central part of her life. She was a member of Church of our Lady and after moving to the Litchfield area, St. Philip’s Catholic Church and The Daughters of Isabella.

Fran enjoyed embroidering, reading, gardening, bingo, puzzles, and baking (her caramel rolls were famous!). She also loved to travel…a cruise to Alaska, flying to Europe, and taking “Girls Trips” with her daughters and granddaughter.

Fran is survived by her children Steve (Patti) Tintes of Windsor, CO; Dave Tintes of San Antonio, TX; Ginni (Steve) Duggan of Shawnee, KS; Gary Tintes of Litchfield, MN; Bill Tintes of Orleans, NE; Mari (Jim) Gillman of Hutchinson, MN; Barb (Tim Thompson) Tintes of Unionville, VA; and Pat (Joy) Tintes of Columbia, MO; 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, her daughter Eloise Tintes, and her siblings William and Richard Bruemmer and Margaret Hironimus.
