Gale A. Peterson

Gale A. Peterson, age 76 of Grove City died on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home in Grove City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21st at the church. Interment will be in the Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Gale Arthur Peterson, the son of Arthur and Mildred (Larson) Peterson was born on September 13, 1942 in Litchfield. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1960. Gale served in the National Guard following high school. On September 7, 1962, he was united in marriage to Beverly Lorence at First Lutheran Church in Grove City. Gale owned and operated a construction company and a trucking business. He enjoyed trucking and was proud to have made the trip to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska several times. Gale was a member of the Masons and Shrine and a former member of the Grove City Fire Department. He enjoyed running heavy equipment, mowing his lawn and riding his Ranger to visit with friends. He is survived by his wife Beverly Peterson of Grove City, grandchildren April (Jon) Jurgens of Windom and Troy A. Peterson of Arizona; three great grandchildren and sister Jannan Dilley of Grove City. He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Troy Peterson.
