Geraldine "Geri" Margaret Rangeloff

Geraldine “Geri” Margaret Rangeloff, age 97, of Litchfield, MN, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Saint Philip in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Geraldine “Geri” Margaret Rangeloff was born on March 6, 1928 to Theresa (Tholl) and Martin Smith in Watkins, MN. She received her education in Litchfield, MN, and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1946. On April 30, 1947, Geri and Romeo Rangeloff were united in marriage at the Church of Saint Philip.

Geri was a past member of the VFW Aux, CCW - Daughters of Isabella, on the funeral committee for lunches, and various other volunteer projects. Geri loved fishing, gardening, and being outside. She was a fantastic cook and worked at the Litchfield Jr. High School as the head cook for 24 years and also worked as a cook in the Meeker County Jailhouse for 3 years after her retirement. Geri also loved spending time with her friends and family.

Geri is survived by her children Stephen Rangeloff of Jefferson, TX, Terri Kurzhals of New Hope, MN, Richard Rangeloff of Saint Cloud, MN; grandchildren Molly (Garin) McEachern, Andrea (Keith) Karoglanian, Miranda Kurzhals, Jessica Rangeloff Moores, and Justin Rangeloff,; great grandchildren Sadie McEachern and Clover Karoglanian, Max Moores and Caddis Karoglanian.

She was preceded in death by her husband Romeo; parents Theresa and Martin; sons Ronald and Robert; infant son John Gary; sister Jeanatte Andersen; brothers Ervin Smith and Glenn Smith, Earhart Smith; grandson Gregg Rangeloff; and great grandson Cullin McEachern.

The family wishes to express special gratitude toward the wonderful caregivers at Hilltop Healthcare Center and CentraCare Hospice.
