Gloria C. Pehle

Gloria C. Pehle, age 88, died on Friday, March 25 at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church on Friday, April 8, and also one hour prior to the service. Internment will be in the Immanuel Cemetery in Grove City. Gloria Colleen Pehle, daughter of Rudolph and Myrtle Hartz, was born on October 31, 1927 in Litchfield. She attended Grove City High school and graduated in 1946. Gloria was united in marriage to Franklin Pehle on March 1, 1947; they resided in Grove City. During her life Gloria worked at the Northland Café in Grove City, Fingerhut in Litchfield, and Grove City Furniture. She was also an extremely talented seamstress and did sewing for others. Gloria belonged to a variety of organizations including Grove City Women's Club, Sons of Norway, and V.F.W. Post 2818 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Gloria is survived by her daughter Cheryl Newton of San Bruno, CA, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Karen Pehle of Litchfield, and son-in-law Jim Curry of Litchfield; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
