Gordy Henderson

Gordon "Gordy" Ruben Henderson, age 72 of Litchfield, MN, passed away on April 16, 2026.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 4:00 PM, with visitation following from 4:30 – 7:00 PM at Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home.

Gordy was born on September 13, 1953, in Thief River Falls to Howard and Marian (Nelson) Henderson. The family moved many times throughout Gordy’s childhood.

Gordy married the love of his life, Debra Kelly, on October 23, 1971, in Faribault, MN. Gordy worked as a cement finisher and truck driver. He enjoyed farming, gardening, spending time with animals, and tinkering with projects.

Gordy is survived by wife Debbie; daughters Shelly (Brad) Latham, of Litchfield, MN, Sarah (Steve Dollerschell) Henderson of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren Caitlynn (Andy) Berg, Hannah (Brandon) Anders, Kayla (Tyler) Henderson, Danny (Trisha) Henderson, Raeanna Dehning, Sam (Kasey) Johnsrud; siblings Leon Henderson, of New Ulm, MN, Lola (Dennis) Simon, of New Ulm, MN, Herbert Henderson, of New Ulm, MN, Dale (Shirley) Henderson, of Winthrop, MN, Grace (Chuck) Bockhouse, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Scott (Kathy) Henderson, of New Ulm, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Marian; son Jason; grandson Spencer Latham; and sister Ruth Henderson.

Gordy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for having a heart of gold to his friends and family. Gordy will be greatly missed by many.
