Harvey Dale Lawver

December 10, 1949 — September 22, 2023

Harvey Dale Lawver, age 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones on September 22, 2023. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Harvey was born on December 10, 1949 to Joseph Lawver and Rose (Guzzo) Lawver in Minneapolis, MN. Throughout his life he lived in Minneapolis, Litchfield, Darwin, Grove City and Hutchinson. He worked as a commercial truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for many years, then transferring over to SuperValu before his retirement. He also drove milk trucks for local farmers when he had some free time during the winter months.

Harvey had a passion for riding motorcycles. He enjoyed being out on the open road and had a love for traveling, as long as it was done riding on his motorcycle. He spent many summers riding out west, from Sturgis to the shores of Washington State but his love for riding didn't stop there. He had traveled to Madeline Island often with his motorcycle group, The JFD's and wherever else the road would lead.  He also enjoyed his time at Lake Stella in Darwin. Whether he was fishing, entertaining guests or dancing to music in his garage.

Harvey had a deep passion for the word of Christ and also supported many nonprofit organizations. Harvey had been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis years ago and fought a daily battle of pain. He lived at Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson, MN since fall of 2022 where he was well cared for and called it home.

He is survived by his children, Jason Lawver, Steven Lawver, Brian (Crystal) Lawver, and Christine (Ricky) Nelson; his brother Harry Lawver; sisters Pam (Don) Krause and Karen Westling-Schaumberg; sister-in-law Debra Lawver; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose Lawver, brothers James Lawver and Steven Lawver, sister Roberta Lawver, and sister-in-law Sandra Lawver.

Harvey will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
