Harvey was born on December 10, 1949 to Joseph Lawver and Rose (Guzzo) Lawver in Minneapolis, MN. Throughout his life he lived in Minneapolis, Litchfield, Darwin, Grove City and Hutchinson. He worked as a commercial truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for many years, then transferring over to SuperValu before his retirement. Harvey had a passion for riding motorcycles. He enjoyed being out on the open road and had a love for traveling, as long as it was done riding on his motorcycle. He spent many summers riding out west, from Sturgis to the shores of Washington State but his love for riding didn't stop there. He had traveled to Madeline Island often with his motorcycle group, The JFD's and wherever else the road would lead. He also enjoyed his time at Lake Stella in Darwin. Whether he was fishing, entertaining guests or dancing to music in his garage.
Harvey had a deep passion for the word of Christ and also supported many nonprofit organizations. Harvey had been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis years ago and fought a daily battle of pain. He lived at Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson, MN since fall of 2022 where he was well cared for and called it home.
He is survived by his children, Jason Lawver, Steven Lawver, Brian (Crystal) Lawver, and Christine (Ricky) Nelson; his brother Harry Lawver; sisters Pam (Don) Krause and Karen Westling-Schaumberg; sister-in-law Debra Lawver; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
