Inez Arlene Stoltenow

January 1, 1919 — November 29, 2017

Inez A. Stoltenow, age 98, of Sauk Rapids Landings Assisted Living and formerly of Litchfield passed on to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. A celebration of life memorial service will be held to honor her at 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Litchfield, with Pastor Rev. Koopman officiating. Visitation is scheduled one hour before the service. Inez Ploium was born on July 14, 1919, in Minnewaukan, North Dakota. She was one of five daughters born to Magnus and Margaret Ploium. Inez graduated from high school in Oakes, ND. She also graduated from North Dakota State Normal and Industrial School in Ellendale, ND, with a two year degree in education. She later taught school near Great Bend, ND, where she met Arthur Stoltenow. Art was serving in the military when they were married in Leesville, Louisiana. Inez moved to Oakes, ND, and when Art returned from the service, they continued to live in Oakes with daughters Sheila and Barbara. Art worked as a farm machinery sales and service representative for New Idea farm machinery, and Inez was employed as a school teacher. The family moved to Litchfield where Art continued to work as a machinery representative and Inez did some substitute teaching. Inez enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, and visiting with friends and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Art and Inez spent many winters in Texas and Arizona after they retired. Art passed away in 2014. Inez is survived by her two daughters Sheila (Ron) Willardsen of Sartell and Barbara (Larry) Lundberg of Chisago City. She is survived by five grandchildren; Darin (Katy) Willardsen, Jennifer Hillstrom (Brad Hovland), Denise (Michael) Parks, Erik (Stephanie) Lundberg, and Heather (Nick) Argenziano. Inez is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; Karter and Karson Hillstrom, Olivia Hovland, Whitney and Avery Lundberg, Haley, Bryce, and Mason Willardsen, Eliana and Isaac Parks, and Isabella, Elijah, Alexander, and Thomas Argenziano. Inez was preceded in death by her husband Art, parents Magnus and Margaret Ploium, and her four sisters and spouses. The family would like to gratefully thank Landings Assisted Living in Sauk Rapids and St. Croix Hospice of Sartell for the wonderful care that Inez received the past years and weeks of her life.
