Jeanette L. Dylla

January 1, 1946 — February 15, 2018

Jeanette L. Dylla, age 71, of Litchfield, MN, died at her home in Litchfield on February 15, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will continue after the service until 6:00 PM. Jeanette Lee Dylla, the daughter of Lawrence and Violet (Olson) Dahlman, was born on May 31, 1946 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Dassel High School and continued her education at Ridgewater College, where she became a LPN. Jeanette grew up in Dassel, and lived a short time in Cokato before moving to Litchfield, where she raised her children and has lived for many years. She was a store clerk and a waitress during her early years of marriage, then worked as a nursing assistant at Emmanuel Home, before going back to nursing school and getting her LPN. The Cosmos nursing home was the last place that she worked. She was very passionate about nursing and missed it greatly. Zion Lutheran Church was her church home for many years. She stayed strong in her faith by watching religious programs on television and listening to local services on the radio. Jeanette enjoyed gardening, bird watching, antiques, crafting, and going to flea markets and garage sales. She loved spending time with her grandchildren – they meant the world to her. She always had a special place in her heart for animals. She found comfort and joy in her pet cats and dogs that she loved like her own kids. She is survived by her previous husband Chuck Dylla of Litchfield, MN; children Carolyn (John) Steman of Litchfield, MN, David (Danita) Ohm of Montrose, MN and Julie Ohm (David) of Elmore, MN; three grandchildren: Jessica (Luke) Euerle, Alex Besendorf, and Jacob Kendall; and one great-granddaughter on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
