Jerimiah Jacob Shoutz was born on December 15th, 1986 to Wendy Shoutz (Kruse) in Willmar, MN. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran in Cedar Mills, MN and confirmed at St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Forest City, MN.
As a child, Jake loved to go go-kart racing, playing Legos, and going on trips to Canada with his great uncles and cousins fishing for Northern.
Jake received his education at Litchfield High School and graduated in 2005. Jake worked at various welding jobs and others before working with his father Bradley at his construction company. However, Jake loved selling auto parts, and hoped to one day own and run his own auto parts store.
He loved fishing, working on trucks (making them as loud as possible to make sure he was known across town), going to truck meets with his brother, mud runs, spending time with his 5 beautiful nieces and family, playing darts, and riding motorcycles along with snowmobiles.
More than anything, Jake loved his son Koda. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he loved his little buddy. He would always talk about his adventures kayaking with Koda down the river. Jake was always proud of the man his son was becoming and would still be proud of him today.
His friends and family will remember him fondly with his dad jokes, vice grip garage references, and the way he would help out anyone at anytime, no matter what time of day. Jake would be there.
He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Wendy Shoutz; son Koda Shoutz; siblings Kenadie (fiancé Matthew Meierhofer and family), Landon Shoutz (fiancé Celeste Gregory and family), Alex Schoenwetter (fiancé Megan Danner and family); grandparents Marilyn Kruse-Messner and husband Gary Messner; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Kruse, Lloyd and Sharon Shoutz; aunt Pamela Kuseske; cousins Justin Shoutz, Trevin Gabrielson, Kevin Young and Zach Rohrbeck; and his beloved husky Loki.
