John Glenn Danzeisen

John Danzeisen age 49, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Lake Ripley Cemetery. John Glenn Danzeisen, son of John and Florence (Zickuhr) Danzeisen, was born July 20, 1966 in Litchfield, MN. He was baptized on September 11, 1966 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Atwater and was later confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He graduated from Litchfield Senior High School in 1984. After graduation, he went on to attend the Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute where he obtained his certificate in Food Service. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Wendy (Nelson) on June 6, 1987. Together they raised their only child, Ali. John loved his career in food service. He began washing dishes at the Litchfield Golf Club when he was 12 years old. He worked his way to eventually become a chef at various restaurants and delis around the Litchfield area including the Litchfield Golf Club, Farmer's Daughter and Prairie House Family Restaurant. John later transitioned from working in restaurants to selling food as a district sales representative and manager for Appert's Foodservice, Food Services of America and most recently Martin Bros. Distributing. He enjoyed serving the ""mom and pop"" restaurants through his work in the food service industry and achieved many sales awards. John enjoyed cooking for people, bowling, going to stock car races with his family, telling corny jokes and had a passion for nice cars. He brought a smile to everyone he met. John is survived by his wife Wendy (Nelson) Danzeisen, daughter Ali Danzeisen, sister Deb Pearson, nieces Cass Pearson of Annandale, Ayla Pearson of Litchfield, Katie Pearson of Marshall, and Mariah Pearson of Litchfield, mother-in-law and father-in-law David (Jeanette) Nelson of Litchfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.
