Katherine A. Zeppelin

Katherine A. Zeppelin, age 72, of Litchfield, MN died on Sunday March 4, 2018 at Bethany Memory Care in Litchfield, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday March 9, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Katherine Adele Zeppelin, the daughter of Edgar and Louise (Isenberg) Anderson, was born on February 3, 1946 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1964. Katherine was united in marriage to Wayne Zeppelin on August 9, 1964 at the All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin, MN. Together they made their home on Lake Washington and Katherine moved into Bethany Memory Care in the fall of 2014. Katherine was a nursing assistant in Litchfield and later worked for Custom Products and American Time and Signal in Dassel. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin and later First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Katherine loved to laugh and painted when she was younger. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and going to garage sales and antique stores. She had an interest in American Indian artifacts and liked to spend time at the Forest City Stockade. She studied gemology and found many rocks and arrow heads in country fields. She loved hosting holidays and gatherings at her home, especially the Fourth of July. Katherine is survived by her children Shane (Kristine) Zeppelin, Jason (Lyn) Zeppelin and Chad (Deb) Zeppelin; 10 grandchildren Jessica (Brent) Wayne, Joshua Fasching, Brittany Zeppelin, William Fasching, Elizabeth Bruenger, Cheyenne Zeppelin, Devin Zeppelin, Trevor Zeppelin, Carter Zeppelin and Remington Zeppelin; brother Bill (Sheila) Anderson; brother-in-law Neil Christopherson; and step-great granddaughter Ariel Egge. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne; parents Edgar and Louise; sister Libby Christopherson and brother Johnny Anderson. Katherine’s family would like to thank Litchfield Area Hospice and Ecumen Bethany Memory Care.
