LaVonne 'Voney' Berg, age 80, of Litchfield died on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, with Pastor David Sorensen officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. LaVonne Lois Berg was born on April 14, 1928, the daughter of Andrew and Ellen (Harder) Berg in Litchfield, Minnesota. She grew up and received her education in Litchfield. She continued her education in St. Cloud, receiving both her Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree. Voney worked in Sauk Centre, where she was the Administrator of the Sauk Centre Home School. She worked with delinquent youth, and was known for helping children. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Voney enjoyed photography, cats, bird watching, visiting, talking on the telephone and spending time on the computer. LaVonne is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Ellen; a brother Lowell; and 3 sisters Phyllis, Fern, and Marcella.
