Lyle John Hames

Lyle John Hames, age 85, of Litchfield, MN passed away on November 3, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital. As per the family’s wishes, no public services will be held.

Lyle was born on June 11, 1940, to Clifford and Elsie (Rewitzer) Hames in New Ulm, MN. He worked in management for the FW Woolworth Corporation for twenty-one years and went on to own two hardware stores. The last being the Hardware Hank store in Litchfield, MN.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith; his children Valerie (Mark) O’Brien of Orlando, Florida, Kevin (Jennifer) Hames of Sacramento, California, and Brent (Susan) Hames of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Mona Nelsen; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents Clifford and Elsie Hames; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
