Margaret Helen Wendroth

Margaret H. Wendroth, age 84, of Watkins, died on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 17, 2016, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the St. Peter Cemetery in Eden Valley. Margaret Helen Wendroth, the daughter of Cornelius and Helen (Brummer) Sullivan was born on May 1, 1932 in Eden Valley. She grew up in Eden Valley and attended Eden Valley High School. On June 2, 1954, she was united in marriage to Ronald Wendroth in Eden Valley. In the early 1960's they moved off the homestead but, remained near Eden Valley until they moved to Grove City in 1994. She was a farm wife and homemaker and also did house keeping for the Quinn family. She later worked as a nurse's aide in Paynesville. They moved to Litchfield and lived there for about four years before returning to Grove City. She was active in her churches; St. Peter's Catholic, Our Lady of Manannah, and St. Philips. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and deer hunting. She also enjoyed hunting for ginseng roots. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by children, Julann (and Roger) Mitteness of Benson, Joy (and Kevin) Kocmich of Litchfield and Jim (and Roseann) Wendroth of Eden Valley, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
