Marilyn E. Pieper, age 69, of Litchfield, MN, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at her home in Litchfield after a three year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Marilyn Elinor Pieper, the daughter of Leander and Elinor (Schilling) Mundt, was born on June 11, 1947 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1965 and also from the University of Minnesota Morris in 1977. Marilyn was united in marriage to Steven Pieper in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in 1983. Throughout her life, Marilyn lived in Litchfield, Morris, Hutchinson, Denver, Sydney Australia, Carver, Jordan and Shakopee. She has worked as a mortgage closer, a cook, an accountant, a book keeper along with being a wife and mother. Marilyn was an active member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and youth Bible Study for many years. She was a long time treasurer for the Forest City Threshers and a Denver Bronco football team fan. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and watching western movies and reading western books. Marilyn is survived by her husband Steven J. Pieper of Litchfied, MN; children Zachary R. Pieper (Emily Wiltzius) of Minneapolis, MN; sisters Anna Mundt of Hutchinson, MN and Carol Fiala of Hutchinson, MN.
