Marion J. Christofferson

Marion J. Christofferson, age 97 of Kimball, MN passed away at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN on January 5, 2024.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday January 11, 2024 at Ostmark Lutheran Church in Watkins, MN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment will be held at Ostmark Cemetery.   The service will be livestreamed on the Ostmark Lutheran Church Facebook page. The service will also be uploaded on the Johnson-Hagglund Website following the service.

Marion Jeanette Christofferson, the daughter of Oscar and Alice (Olson) Kling was born on March 28, 1926 in Forest City Township, MN.  She was baptized on June 6, 1926 and confirmed on July 30, 1939 at Ostmark Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Litchfield High School on June 2, 1944 and was united in marriage to Elmer Christofferson at Ostmark Lutheran Church on December 29, 1945.  She enjoyed gardening, card parties, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and loved being on the farm.

Marion is survived by her son Robert (Lori) Christofferson of Kimball; daughter-in-law Sue Christofferson of Kimball; grandchildren Marie (Chad) Hudalla, Chris (Jen) Christofferson and Amy (Justin) Blunt; great grandchildren Amelia Hudalla; Thomas, Thatcher and Lila Christofferson and Alexis and Jonathan Blunt; nephew David Kling; and great nephews Brady and Ryan Owens.

She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Alice; husband Elmer; son Donald; siblings Bernard, Donald (Bernice) and Lorraine Kling; and niece Sharon Blair.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ostmark Lutheran Church.
