Mary Hubert

Mary E. Hubert, age 85, of Litchfield died on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Church of St. Philip with Father Joseph Steinbeisser celebrating. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Mary Elizabeth Hubert, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Krank) Hraben was born on June 28, 1924 in Dwight, Nebraska. She received her education in Nebraska. On April 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ray Hubert in Bee, Nebraska. Throughout her life, she lived in Pine River, Hackensack, Stewart, Hector, and Litchfield. When in Pine River, Mary worked as a housekeeper at the area hospital. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church and CCW. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading, embroidering and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her daughter Diane (and Dan) Burns of Faribault, MN, sisters; Marcella (and Raymond) Hottovy of Morris, MN, Genevieve Woodruff of Hackensack, MN and Irene (and Fred) Hotovy of Seward, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, son Darrell, sister Bernice Vondra and brothers Raymond, Rayfiel and Joe.
