Michael Leroy Kronback, age 52, of Dassel, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in Saint Augusta, MN. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN, and will continue one hour prior.
Michael Leroy Kronback was born on September 28, 1973, in Litchfield, MN, to John and Vonnie Levinski, and later adopted by Armin Kronback. He received his education in Hutchinson, MN, and graduated a member of the Class of 1991. Michael then started working at Pollock Manufacturing in Darwin, MN. He then did janitorial work at HTI in Hutchinson, MN, before he began his welding career in 1993, at Towmaster in Litchfield, MN, where he worked for 9 years. He finished his welding career at Landscape Structures in Delano, MN, where he worked for 23 years, building and designing playground equipment. On August 28, 2010, he and Penny Skaggs were united in marriage in Darwin, MN.
Michael loved all things outdoors including fishing, hunting, and gardening; even going as far as growing his own popcorn. He as an avid people person and loved to socialize. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, going four-wheeling with his grandkids, and chatting with his friends. Michael loved his work and took pride in the playgrounds he built and the joy it brought to others. Michael appreciated good food and was great at cooking, he would also happily devour any of his Aunt Mary’s baked treats.
Michael is survived by his wife Penny Kronback; daughter Melinda (Brad Kratz) Williamson; grandchildren Alexia Waller, Natalie Nething (Bradley Groetsch), and Austine Nething; adopted parents Armin (Barb) Kronback, their son AJ Kronback; biological father John (Lois) Levinski and their children Tina Evans and Jeanie Levinski; sister April Kronback and her children Eminah Kronback, M’Teyah Kronback, and Chris Lestina; uncle Gary (Shirley) Shroeder; cousins Becky Schroeder and her son Malahkai; Michelle (Jake) Lancelle and her children Melissa, Arianna, and Emily Lancelle.
He was preceded in death by mother Vonnie Kronback; grandmothers Viona Schroeder, Rita Levinski, and Ruth Kronback; grandfathers Albert Schroeder, Burt Levinski, and Vern Kronback; niece Kylea Kronback; best friend Toby Birr; and friend Brent Markgraf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice House in Saint Cloud, MN.
