Michael Patrick Revering

Michael “Mick” Revering, age 74 of Litchfield died on Friday May 31, 2019 at the VA Health Care Center in St. Cloud. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 Pm on Tuesday, June 4th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with a Parish Prayer service at 7:30 PM. Knight of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Michael Patrick Revering, the son of Al and Eleanor (Priley) Revering, was born on March 8, 1945, in Litchfield. He grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1963. He then entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He returned to Minnesota and worked as an electrician in Minneapolis. On May 15, 1969 he was married to Diane Cox at the Church of St. Philip. They moved to Litchfield and built a home in 1971, where they still lived. He worked a short time for Wagner Electric and then started working for Johnson Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment mechanic. After 27 years with Johnson Brothers, he started working for Friedges Landscape Inc in Lakeville. Mike was a member of the Church of St. Philip, Knights of Columbus, and the V.F.W. He was also a member of the NRA, Minnesota Deer Hunters, Pheasants Forever and the Darwin Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin, cutting wood, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, visiting with friend and family, drinking beer and eating peanuts. Mike liked to joke with people play card tricks (little joe) and make mounts of deer antlers. He is survived by his wife Diane Revering of Litchfield, children Tony (Jeanise) Revering of Litchfield, and Ann (Tom) Schumacher of Eden Valley; grandchildren Tristan Revering, Madison Revering, Michael Schumacher and Ava Schumacher. He is also survived by his brother Andrew Revering of Tucson, AZ, sisters Mary Geers of Litchfield, and Kathleen Revering of White Bear Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents Al and Eleanor and step-dad Vernard “Hoot” Klindt and a brother Robert Revering.
