Patricia 'Pat' M. Bidwell

Patricia ""Pat"" Margaret Bidwell, age 68, of Litchfield, died on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be preferred to the American Cancer Society. - www.cancer.org Pat Bidwell, the daughter of John and Rosanna (Meyer) Goihl was born on April 12, 1948 in Lake City, MN. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1966 and continued her education at Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota where she graduated in 1970. Pat was married to Gary Bidwell in Lake City, MN and they lived in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, upstate New York and St. Petersburg, Florida. She moved to Litchfield in 1977. She was a nurse who worked at various nursing homes, mental health and veteran homes. She was a member of the Church of St. Philip, a devoted mother, devout Catholic, fun-loving and vibrant. She was able to balance a child-like innocence with single mother's responsibilities. Pat enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, bird-watching, sewing and movies. She was active in the Litchfield Community Theatre, and will be remembered for her warm hugs. Pat is survived by her sons Jason (Lynne) Bidwell of Los Angeles, CA and Justin Bidwell of Minneapolis, MN; siblings John (Mary Ann) Goihl of Eden Prairie, MN; Jane (William) McBride of Waco, TX, Betty Goihl of St. Paul, MN and Cameille Goihl of Wabasha, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rosanna, sister Shirley Hoffarth and brother-in-law Thomas Hoffarth.
