Patricia "Patsi" Irene Haagenson

Patricia (Patsi) Irene Haagenson, age 83, of Litchfield, MN passed away on November 19, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ostmark Lutheran Church in Watkins, MN. A Visitation will occur one hour prior to service.

Patsi was born on November 26, 1941, to Theron and Ruma Seymour in Endicott, New York. In 1962, Patsi moved to Minneapolis, MN, and in September of 1965, married Larry Root and had three children. On April 15, 1989, Patsi married James Haagenson in Kingston, MN.

Patsi loved tending to her flower garden, writing cards for friends and family, and traveling. She was a people person and loved meeting and talking with friends. Patsi was also very adventurous and was always ready to try new things like ice skating, zip lining, boogie boarding, and sledding with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going for walks, attending church services, and singing in the choir.

Patsi is survived by her husband James; children Troy (Heidi) Root of Hutchinson, Kevin (Jill) Root of Paynesville, and Jodi Root of Litchfield; 18 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Theron and Ruma and other relatives.
