Patti J. Johnson

Patti Jane Johnson, age 53 of Litchfield, MN died on Friday, July 27, 2018 at University of MN, in Minneapolis, MN. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Patti Jane Johnson, the daughter of Donald and Shirley (Hanson) Johnson was born on October 2, 1964 in Coon Rapids, MN. Patti attended school in Grove City, Litchfield & later took nursing classes. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Litchfield, MN. Early on, Patti came by her great love of animals, riding horses with her family. Patti loved Art, enjoyed sewing, crafting & crochet. She especially loved her dogs whom she called her "fur babies". She enjoyed nature, the study of plants & homeopathic remedies. Patti was blessed with the miracle of a liver transplant in 1993, she had many years with her companion Dan Day. Despite all her health challenges, Patti was a force of nature. She got great joy in wearing bright patterns & adored the color purple. She showed her love by cooking and baking for her friends, family & by making unique gifts. She is survived by her companion Dan Day, his sons Dennis, James & Elijah, brother; Dan Johnson nieces; Crystal & Chailey Johnson, great nephews & niece Mason, Madison & Parker Opatz-Johnson, aunt's, uncle's, many cousins & friends. Proceeded in death by her parents Donald and Shirley; an infant brother and sister & her grandparents.
