Robert Glen Cannon

Robert Glen Cannon ""Bob"" age 79, of Grove City, MN died Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the St. Cloud VA. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church In Grove City. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City with Military Honors by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Robert Glen Cannon, son of Theodore and Edith (Dyrness) Cannon, was born April 30, 1936 in Kenmare, ND. As a child Robert lived in Kenmare ND and Chinook MT until 1949 when his family moved to New Rockford ND. He graduated from New Rockford High School in 1954. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served for 15 years. In 1955 he married Ester and they had two children Robert Glen Jr. and Pamela Jean. On October 16, 1971 Robert married Dianne Heveron and later adopted her son Timothy. Together they had three more children Angela, Daniel, and Amy. Robert was a true patriot and loved his country. He enjoyed being a stay at home dad after retirement, watching the Minnesota Vikings, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. Robert is survived by his wife Dianne Cannon of Grove City, 5 Children Rob Cannon (Autumn) of Portland Oregon, Timothy Cannon of Litchfield, Angela Cannon-Holle of Wheaton, Daniel Cannon (Shannon Storkamp) of Litchfield, and Amy Sluka (Tim) of Litchfield, ten grandchildren Alexander, Dillon, Philip, Isaac, Brian, Kera, Brady, Kyle, Aleah, and Emma, one great grandchild Bentley, sister Ardis Mills (Gladwin) of Boise Idaho, brother Paul Cannon (Vivian) of Camas, Washington, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, parents, child Pamela Cannon, son in-law Paul Cannon-Holle, grandchild Amanda Cannon, and nephew Nick Toutges.
