Robert Gary Johnson

Robert G. Johnson, age 71, of Watkins died Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Hilltop Good Samaritan Center in Watkins. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Vestre Sogan Lutheran Cemetery near Granite Falls, MN at a later date. Robert ""Bob"" Gary Johnson, the son of Arnold and Emma Johnson was born on May 9, 1946, in Cokato. He grew up and attended school in Cokato graduating from Cokato High School in 1964. After high school Bob worked for various farmers and then started working for Tonka Toys. He then worked for American Feed in Howard Lake for 23 years. Bob was married to Darlene Anderson and they had two children; Holly and Gary. He was later married to Gretchen Krause on September 7, 1979. They moved to Granite Falls in 2009 and lived there for two years before moving to Watkins. Bob enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and watching Dr. Phil. He was an avid Vikings fan. He is survived by his wife Gretchen Johnson of Litchfield; children Holly and Gary; step-children JoAnne McCall of Hutchinson, Gary Gueningsman, Joyce (and Roger) Arends of Otsego, Jenny Christensen (and fiancé Gary Friauf) of Litchfield; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Carolyn Scherer of Sauk Rapids and brother Steven (and Theresa) Johnson of Monticello.
