Ronald Mack

Ronald A. Mack, age 78 of Litchfield, MN died on June 8, 2026 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 13, 2026 at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.

Ronald Allen Mack, the son of Walter and Evelyn (Lambert) Mack was born on April 8, 1948 in Clark, South Dakota. He was confirmed in July of 1962 and was baptized in 1948. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1966. Ron grew up in South Dakota and moved to Monticello as a teenager with his parents and brothers. During his life he lived in Big Lake, Grove City and Litchfield, MN. On June 14, 1995 he was married to Mary Nygaard in Willmar, MN. Ron was a waste water treatment technician for the city of Litchfield. He entered the Army on November 17, 1966 and was honorably discharged on June 23, 1969. He served in Vietnam for 18 months and continued to be active in the Army Reserves for many years. Ron was a Lifetime Member of the Post 260 American Legion in Monticello, MN. Ron enjoyed remodeling his home and working on cars, trucks and tractors.

Ron is survived by his wife Mary Mack of Litchfield, MN; children Pamela Lewerenz of Litchfield, MN, Michelle (and Brian) Mendenhall of New Richland, MN, Tracy Mack of Bicknell, IN, Michael Mack of Litchfield, MN; stepchildren Richard Garding of Sauk Rapids, MN, Jeff Garding of Bradenton, FL and Gina Garding (and Paul Baum) of Litchfield, MN; 8 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one step great grandchild; brothers Darrell Mack of Raymond, SD, Roger (Cyndi) Mack of Hackensack, MN, Terry (Connie) Mack of Elk River, MN and Ralph (Bev) Mack of Monticello, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Evelyn Mack; step son Mikel Garding and step grandson Joe Garding.
