Rosemarie Hedtke

Rosemarie Hedtke, age 100, of Litchfield, MN, died on Thursday, June 29, 2016 at Bethany Assisted Living in Litchfield, MN. A private service will be held by the family. Rosemarie Hedtke, the daughter of John and Louise (Jechort) Collis was born on May 2, 1916 in Winnipeg, Canada. Rosemarie married Martin on May 2, 1939 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Atwater, MN. Rosemary and Martin farmed in Swede Grove Township, Meeker County, for several years. They also owned a resort for three years on Long Lake. They moved to Litchfield in 1958. Rosemarie and Martin were active in wood crafts and traveled for 15 years to Florida, Texas and Arizona. Rosemarie is survived by sons Robert Hedtke and Myron (Linda) Hedtke; daughters Marjorie (Arthur) Brynteson and Rosalie Karsten. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1999; daughter Mona in 2015; and two sisters and two brothers.
