Sandy died peacefully at the home of her daughter in Litchfield, MN. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.
Born Sandra Maxine Cleaveland on December 4th, 1938 in Kroschel Township to Wesley Cleaveland and Doris E, Fadden. Sandy grew up Near Mound, MN and graduated from Mound Westonka High School in 1956. She played the drums in the marching band. Sandra enlisted in the Women's Army Corps in 1957. She worked at the Laffeyete Club and Woodhill Country Club and also at Cargill in Wayzata until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and just being outdoors. She was quite a bowler being in a league for many years and also was an avid golfer.
After retirement, Sandy volunteered at a food shelf and was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Sandra helped with the Tour De Tonka for many years and Volunteered at the Gillespie center until she was physically unable to.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband James McAninch, stepdaughter Sandy McAninch, step-daughter-in-law Sarah McAninch and, grandson Jordon McAninch.
She is survived by daughter Dawn (Garry) Magoon of Litchfield MN, son Michael Leela) Weber of North Maimi, Florida, daughter Pamala Weber of MN other relatives Deb (Brian) McAninch of Prescott Arizona Micky (John) Miller of New Bern, NC, Patty McAninch of Maple Lake MN, Dan McAninch of Cross Lake MN and Bob McAninch Spring Park, MN. 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
Due to COVID pandemic, we will have a get together in June to remember Sandy.
She will be interred with her beloved James McAninch at Fort Snelling,
