Todd Allen Shoutz, age 51, of Litchfield died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Watkins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Forest City Cemetery. Todd Allen Shoutz, the son of Wayne and Sharon (Lindquist) Shoutz, was born on April 28, 1966, in Litchfield. He graduated from Grove City High School and then joined the U.S. Army Reserves. In 2003, he met Sara Sommerfeld and they were married on October 22, 2005 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield. They were blessed with two children, Zoe (8) and Cyrus (6 months). He lived in the Litchfield area and worked for Palm Industries, for Galen Larson on his hog farm, for Towmaster and then did masonry work. In 2004, he went to work for Barrier in Watkins. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking and wood working. Todd also was an avid cook and loved to bake. He loved his family especially his wife and children. He is survived by his wife Sara Shoutz of Litchfield; children Zoe & Cyrus of Litchfield; brothers Scott Shoutz of Grove City MN, Randy (Jan) Shoutz of Maple Grove, Jamie (Tricia) Shoutz of Sauk Centre; sisters Kathy (Wayne) Pearson of Hutchinson, Tammy (Dave) Housman of Litchfield, Tina (John) Young of Watkins, Heidi (Jeff) Johnson of Litchfield, Lisa (Matt) Dahl of Paynesville, Jennifer (Dan) Floren of Dassel; father-in-law Rodney Sommerfeld of Manannah, mother-in-law Sandra Lindquist of Eden Valley, brothers-in-law Wesley Sommerfeld (Teri Walker) of Hutchinson, Chris Lindquist (Alycia Hansen) of Becker; sister-in-law Jennifer (John) Condon of Watkins and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne & Sharon Shoutz, step Father-in-Law Lynn Lindquist, nephews Kevin Young & Colten Shoutz, great-niece Emily Shoutz.
