Mary Ann Weber, 85 of Watkins, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Centracare Paynesville Health Care. A private Celebration of Life will be held. Arrangements are with the Ertl Funeral Home, Watkins.
Mary Ann was born on October 9, 1934 at Watkins, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Henry and Angie (Olk) Loesch. On April 14, 1956, Mary Ann was united in marriage to James “Jim” Weber at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. They owned and operated Weber’s “V” Store in Watkins for over 50 years. Mary Ann was also employed for many years at Animal Fair and Manhattan Toy Company in Eden Valley. Her greatest love and enjoyment came from spending time with her family. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gambling, Sunday church bingo and playing cards. She loved all sports and one of the highlights of her life was attending the Twins World Series games. Mary Ann was an animal lover, especially kitties, and loved gardening. She was a member of the Watkins Lioness and the St. Anthony CCW.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim”; parents, Henry and Angie Loesch; 9 brothers and sisters. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Candy (Greg) Henfling of Watkins, Jackie (Tim) Faber of Eden Prairie, Jill (Steve) Thole of Maplewood, Jay Weber of Annandale, Penny (Dan) Flaschenriem of Watkins, Jolene (Dave) Tschumperlin of Watkins; She was known as “Granny” to 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Dorothy Brose of St. Cloud, Yvonne Bublitz of Kimball and Connie Serbus of Kimball.
The family thanks all the caregivers at Watkins Gardenview, Koronis Manor, and Paynesville Hospital Hospice. Our family would like to thank all our family and friends for all the prayers and support during this time. A private celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at a later date.
